Symptoms may include: swollen glands, fever, skin rash, severe weakness, flu-like symptoms, muscle pain, yellowing of the skin or eyes.
If you have any of the following If any of these symptoms occur, tell your doctor immediately:
- Fast heartbeat, difficulty in breathing, fluttering in the chest, sudden dizziness.
- Liver problems: feeling tired, loss of appetite, jaundice, dark urine, clay-colored stools, nausea, pain in the upper stomach.
- Severe abdominal pain, watery or bloody diarrhea.
Elderly people may be more likely to have side effects on heart rate, such as a rapid heart rate, which can be life-threatening.
Common side effects of Azithromycin tablet 500 mg may include:
